( John 2:1-11 ) Jesus turns the water into wine -
Mary asked Jesus for a miracle and looked at the disciples and said "DO WHATEVER HE TELLS YOU TO DO. " Jesus told them to take the 6 pottery vessels (6 representing man in the Bible and also He is the potter, we are the clay) and fill them to the brim. The water in these vessels was used for ceremony washing. Like sink water for your hands... he told them to fill them to the brim. They did. They didn't over flow it or short fill it.. they did what He said and filled them to the brim. Then THE PAUSE... wait for it... pause for HOLY Spirit to hover over the water like He did in Genesis at creation...like at the wedding feast and like He does today...pause for the WORD to be spoken... like it was in Genesis at creation... and at the wedding feast... and like it still is today... The pause in the waiting... pause for Him to just say the word. Don't spill, don't leak... hold it... be filled to the brim and wait in the pause!!! Wow!! He Speaks!!! Oh Praise God!! Our Miracle!! Our servant wash water has been turned into wine! Now poured out in joy and in celebration! Do you remember men and women of God when you were first being filled? Are we still servant wash water? Are we still being filled? Do you remember the first drop? Are we filled and waiting in the pause? I believe this is an ongoing cycle where all the time, we need to ask ourselves if we are serving up wash water or did Jesus say the word and do we have wine to share? Sometimes.. we must learn to be in the PAUSE...wait for the Holy Spirit and the WORD to be spoken and then know He is doing a miracle!! Let's always stop, wait in the pause, and ask Holy Spirit what to do so we can DO WHATEVER HE TELLS US TO DO and really truly show ourselves as the vessels that Jesus uses for the miracle!! Woohooo!!! Amen!!!
